Biography
Reese is a shareholder at Mitchell & Sheahan, P.C., where he handles employment matters through all stages of the litigation process and helps employers and employees handle private and municipal employment issues. Reese has experience dealing with various claims and concerns, such as the Americans With Disabilities Act, Title VII, other civil rights violations, and the National Labor Relations Act in the Federal and Connecticut court systems.
Reese is a graduate of Tulane University Law School. While at Tulane, Reese participated and earned the highest level of achievement in the Tulane Juvenile Law Clinic. The Clinic provides legal aid to children and teenagers in Southern Louisiana. Reese graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point in 2005. At Kings Point, Reese earned a Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation and a US Coast Guard-issued Unlimited Third Mate's License. In addition, Reese has a Master of Science in International Transportation Management from SUNY Maritime College.
Before becoming an attorney, Reese sailed under his Third Mate's license as a civilian navigational and deck officer aboard US Navy-owned support vessels worldwide.
Reese holds a Certificate in Admiralty Law from Tulane University and maintains a US Coast Guard-issued Unlimited Second Mate's All Oceans License. Reese practices before the Connecticut and New Jersey State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. He is active in the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association, where he is the current Labor and Employment Section Chair. Reese is a 2023 Super Lawyer Rising Star.
