COURTNEY B. STEIN
Courtney represents individual clients in a wide range of employment-related matters, including claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation and wage classifications. Courtney also counsels management clients on workplace related issues, including wage and hour obligations, family and medical leave, and compliant personnel policies and practices. Courtney has federal jury trial experience and extensive bench trial experience.
Previously, Courtney worked for a boutique law firm counseling clients on compliance with local, state and federal employment laws, negotiating separations, as well as drafting handbooks, policies, and employment agreements. Courtney also worked as a litigator representing the City of New York in employment-related lawsuits.
Prior to Courtney’s career in employment law, she was a prosecutor for the City of New York, specifically in Brooklyn Family Court. As such, Courtney has extensive courtroom and trial experience. While working for the City, Courtney was appointed to the Major Case Unit and the Sex Crimes Prosecution Unit. She received the Rookie of the Year Award in 2006.
Courtney graduated cum laude from New York Law School in 2005. She is admitted to practice law in Connecticut, New York, and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the District of Connecticut.
